Persistence profile properties.

Hello Folks,

 

I need to understand following options for the persistence profile.

 

  1. Match Across Services
  2. Match Across Virtual Servers
  3. Match Across Pools

    Not sure if I can explain it better but I've only seen Match Across Services ever used (i think). This means that all connections to the same virtual server/ip address get persisted to the same node. The example in the doc you reference is where I've seen it. You may want a client to go to the same node for an ssl connection as the initial http connection, ie a website with both http/https options. otherwise the application might break, for example.

     

    Others may be able to give good examples of the others that they've seen.
