Enterprise Manager Device Discovery- Communications Failed - See SOL6138

Question

I'm fairly new to working with EM (version 3.1.1), and while working with device discovery, I get a specific error when attempting to discover an offsite LTM 6900.  The error code is SOL6138, and checking the var/log/em logs, I find this line: &nbsp;
"Discovery failed for explicit device [device-ip], status comm-failed".  &nbsp;
Are there any common problems for this error, or common methods to debug this error?&nbsp;

SOL11317 says that port 443, 4353 and 3306 are required for EM to LTM connectivity.&nbsp;

Thanks Kevin, looking at the ports, it did turn out to be a firewall issue with the devices.  Really appreciate the help.
