SharePoint 2010 Configure SSL offloading 1 ip multiple web applications

I'm having trouble getting mysites to work with SSL offloading. We used 1 cert for multiple FQDNs. I assumed it would work fine this way. The primary web application is working fine except for 5566 log ID on InfoPath Forms, but that's something I'll work out later. The AAMs seem correct as they are set up the same as the other web app. The mysite app was created as http://mysites.com:2341 I changed the AAM https://mysite.com to match the FQDN it was given for the cert. Am I not able to have two web applications, 1 IP, share the same SSL port? Has anyone else tried this? Did it work? What did you do to fix it? I know that you can set it up this way with out having the F5 in place, but how do I do it with the F5?

    Historic F5 Account

You should be able to have any number of web applications using the same virtual server, as long as the BIG-IP knows which servers it should forward the request to, and on which port.

You have your mysites listening on 2341. Assuming your requests are hitting the VS on port 443, you should have a pool with members at 2341 and an iRule on the VS to send requests for mysite.com to that pool.

  • Will it work with 2 web apps, 1 VS on the same port though? And thank you for your response.
