it may be easier to have a VS/pool for each service, I assume if a service goes down you will want traffic to go to another pool member? Otherwise you'll either have the pool member go down if 1 service goes down and you only have 1 monitor or you can have multiple monitors but then you may have services down but the pool member up...

any idea ?
- WillyNimbostratusI am confronted with the same problem, have also a lot of tcp ports. Did you get any other suggestions ? At this moment I am thinking about making a specific monitor that will monitor one port with tcp-half-open. Will send update when tested.
- nag_54823Cirrostratusi don't think so , there is any other way other than icmp monitor in this case.

Sorry for the late answer, but still not tested the icmp monitor. As long as only one server is in the pool and load balancing is not needed, I will not proceed with the test. Service is monitored by application checking on the virtual address.
