Hi Mahmoud, sorry to hear you are having problems. Can you help me better understand exactly what you are running into? - What is your Oracle environment set up like? OS, single tier or multiple tier, if multiple tiers how many App servers, brand new install, etc. - Is your F5 BIG-IP a new addition to your environment? Just LTM or do you have other modules as well? - When following the Oracle EBS deployemnt guide listed at https://f5.com/solutions/deployment-guides/tag/oracle, what problems are you running into? Please be as specific as you can. Does the iApp not work for you? Or does it go through to completion but you cannot access your EBS environment?

Hi Dake, thanks for response, Actually ltm is existing in our environment long time ago, it has (ltm+asm), we have run many iapps successfully like ms-exchange-2010, ms-sharepoint-2013, ms-wac-2013, ms-lync-2013, all mentioned application re configured with the aid of iapp. we have a new deployment for oracle ebs with the following details( one dmz application server, for internet access, two internal application servers and two db servers) all servers running oracle linux. ltm will be used for the two internal application servers. when we started the iapp configuration for oracle ebs 12.1.3, we realize when we do set the ssl encryption to plain text for both server and clients, it works fine. then we set it to ssl pass-through. it doesn't work, however oracle team do the required modification from their side. we get the ltm out they accessed their app directly with ssl configuration and no ltm in between, it works fine. so how do we resolve that issue

Good Mahmoud, so you have some experience with LTM and iApps - excellent. You mentioned that you have two database servers in your EBS R12 deployment so I am going to assume that these are in an Oracle RAC cluster? And two EBS R12 App servers. Let's start at the beginning then. Can you confirm that you followed the F5 deployment guide (http://www.f5.com/pdf/deployment-guides/iapp-oracle-ebs-dg.pdf), including the use of the iApp and that it appeared to configure/deploy correctly? (no errors). And since you are looking to use SSL offload for EBS, that you have obtained an SSL certificate and key, and it is installed on the BIG-IP LTM? (Sorry, have to ask, don't want to assume.) When you are using the iApp and you choose to do SSL offload, you are asked for this SSL Certificate and Key. In addition (as noted in the F5 EBS deployment guide) you must please see the Oracle Support Note ID 380489.1 (Using Load-Balancers with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12) to set the appropriate values in the Applications Context file on each of your two application tier servers. Additionally (as noted in the F5 EBS deployment guide), since you are looking to perform SSL offload for EBS, you must make some modifications as described in Oracle Support Note 376700.1 (Enabling SSL in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12), then run Autoconfig. Can you confirm that all these steps occurred?

Hello Dale, Thanks for response, I do confirm that all you mentioned is configured properly, the last update is. plain-text and ssl-offload is working fine, however ssl-bridge & ssl-pass-through is not working, ltm shows the iapp in offline state, however I am able to access for example port 4443 on the node but ltm is not able to see it, no firewall in between. the certificate and key are ok

It sounds like you have done all of the proper groundwork then Mahmoud. And sorry, I do see you were asking specifically about SSL Bridging & SSL pass-through, which was added in the latest version of the iApp deployment guide. At this point, if you have not done so already, I would highly recommend that you open up a case with F5 Support to help you through your issue(s). I am sure they will be able to help you resolve your specific problem, or at least make sure that you have everything setup correctly. When you do, please update this thread with your case as I would like to monitor your progress through to resolution.
