Do i need to use multiple partitions or not?
Hi guys,
So after abit of research i have an F5 BigIP virtual edition running in each DC. Now i need to cluster the GTM's but not the LTM's for my external setup - i cant cluster the LTM because the virtual servers are on public IP's and they are different ISP's in each DC. This setup is going to be for external internet clients who need to access internal apps.
Now i want to use the F5 to load balance applications internally as well, using private IP's internally i can cluster and use the virtual servers (there is a layer 2 connection between DC's)
The best way i can think of it to create two partitions, an external and internal. The external will cluster the GTM's and not the LTM's. Then the internal one will just cluster the LTM's.
I've not touched an F5 in a while - it is possible to do the above? as in only cluster the GTM's in partition 1 and cluster the LTM's in partition 2 on the same device?
Or can use the same partition and cluster everything and choose only the internal virtual servers to sync across and leave the virtual servers on public IP's alone?
