F5 ASM Custom Block Response - mailto link insert support-id into subject

Hello!

How can I create a block response that would copy the <%TS.request.ID()%> into the subject of the e-mail when clicking the mailto-link.

HTML-encode doesn't work cause user would get a value <%TS.request.ID()%> instead of the actual number. When I put the stuff in the mailto link in "" then it doesn't work at all.

Is there any Javascript or other means of sorcery that could accomplish this?

Kind regards, Erkki

Unfortunately that approach does not work - the Outlook pops out a window with the link I used but does not do anything when clicking the link with suggested format.

  • Long story short: Before the box parses the HTML it replaces all the parameters so the preview doesn't show the correct and working page that actually works as it does work in the real browser.

Solution that works properly (remove the apostrophes):
