How to attach BIG-IP serial no. to my profile

It seems I am not able to raise F5 support case online, rather I have to call the helpdesk. Is it mean I have to attach the serial no. to my F5 profile? In that case how to attach the serial no ?

  • Yes. While creating profile & f5 ask for serial number for verification purpose to identify valid user from XXXX organization. You can find the device serial number with use of below command.

            tmsh show sys hardware | grep -i 'Chassis Serial'

      Actually what I was trying to ask, after creating my profile with a valid serial number, if I need to add a new F5 device in my profile, what would be the steps?

      Its not require to add again to profile. Tell Serial number to F5 agent during call, they will raise ticket behalf of you or you can raise via online.
