Health Check failing because server cannot accept more TCP connections

Hi ALL,

I have a server pool with 2 netcool servers listening on port6068. It is monitored by a custom TCP monitor on TCP6068. Now the Pool is marked down until the server admin closes active TCP 6068 sessions. It seems only 1 TCP 6068 connection is allowed on the server ( not sure why ). Is there another way we can health monitor the servers effectively? (avoiding using icmp ).

Thanks Harps

      Hi Raghavendra,

Thanks, unfortunately there are no web services running on the server. so content check won't be an option :(

      Thanks Harps

  • Ok. can you check connection configurations under advanced pool section, see any limit is configured.

      Hi,

Connection limit is set to 0. Think its more on the server side limiting the connections.

is there any monitoring the F5 can do at command line level on the sever?

  • Can you please paste your configurations here and also tcpdump packet capture details.
