Are you using iCall by any chance? This daemon seems closely related to that and mcpd.
How can you tell which core, just out of interest?
I turned on debug logging and logging to stdout on a test box of mine running v11.4.1 and also don't get any output in the log file.
Have you tried a restart, seems to be pretty quick?

I restarted the daemon and it helped, but I am not sure if the problem comes up in the future. You can observe core utilization at Statistics>Performance>System CPU - view detailed graph. You are right about iCall, I configured iCall script but it didn't work, so I removed handler. I feel quite uneasy not finding any way to diagnose the issue ...

Yeah, a bit worrying for sure. I'd suggest a call to F5 if it re-occurs.
