cacti templates not working in v11

i've had a copy of cacti monitoring my v10 systems for over a year with no problems however when switching to v11 almost everything stopped working. i've tried templates from two different projects including the one recommended in f5's documentation.

 

 

i can get some basics like http requests and compression statistics however interface stats and most other metrics don't work at all. these are the same checks that previously worked on v10. has anyone had success monitoring v11?

    I know this is "old news" but doesn't anyone still use Cacti to monitor there newer F5 environment say like version 13.x and newer?

     

    None of the old seems to work and trying to find anything related to Cacti that is up to date is getting close to impossible. It seems as if Cacti is still a great tool (especially for the price) but everyone seems to have jumped off this ship and I'm still left on it wondering where everyone went (for free).

     

    Any help with getting Cacti 1.2.x monitoring F5 devices (especially our VIPRIONS), I would be super greatful.

    what do you need?

     

    I monitor a LTM+ASM@ v11 with cacti.

    which templates do you use? my biggest need is for traffic i/o per-vlan (or at least interface).

    we use virtual server statistics (connections, trafiic), pool statistics (connections, trafiic), some pool member statistics, active pool member, temperature, partitions, processor informations.

     

    All based on the old f5 templates for cacti.

     

     

    traffic per vlan or interface should work via the default interface statistics. There is no special one needed.

    fantastic, that template works! there are a bunch of different bigip templates out there, glad to finally find one that (mostly) works.
