Network broadcast between vlans

Hi,

I have searched the documentation and AskF5 for info on this matter, but haven't been able to find any. I hope someone in this group has some ideas on how to tackle this.

The issue I'm trying to solve is to allow udp network broadcasts (to 255.255.255.255) from one subnet/vlan to another on an LTM running 9.4.5.

Vlan1 has subnet 192.168.251.0 /24, vlan2 has 10.0.0.0 /24. Both vlan's are untagged.

There are already several forwarding vip's present on the ltm. One of them allows all protocols on all ports for vlan1 and listens on vlan2, the other forward all ports on all protocols to vlan2 and listens on vlan1. This apparently is not enough to allow broadcasts.

Does anyone know if this is even possible?

It shouldn't be possible. All nets broadcast is not supposed to go past a router... Directed broadcasts probably will, but should be blocked by a firewall.
