Software Vault

Hi,

The software vault containing SSL certs and key is apparently SSL encrypted. Would anyone know what key size, cipers etc are used? Couldn't find anything on AskF5 at all.

  • Intuition tells me it's the self-signed device cert, but I could be wrong.

  • I think you're probably right, but even the self-signed cert should be stored in the software vault itself and it still doesn't tell me much about keys and ciphers.
  • Hi Steve,

I think the internal workings of Secure Vault are considered proprietary. You could open a support case to see what info we can provide. Or email me and I'll see what I can provide you: aaron at f5 dot com

  • Thanks Aaron, that won't be necessary. If there's nothing public, that's understandable and just fine. Cheers
