F5 Big IP VM - iAPPs exchange - ASM feature is not available

Hi there,

 

we implemented BIG IP VM server for exchange/ADFS services and configured using iApps templetes. Production traffic is working fine, but we need to configure ASM features, which is not available in templates. the templetes i used is iapps-1.0.0.546.0 and would like to know difference between iapps and iapp lx templetes.

 

We like to enable this service for account lockout issue is happening in my old setup, hence we decided to implement ASM for exchange services and to avoid user account lockout issue. Please through some light on this. Thanking you.

    HI Ecesureshkumar,

     

    Unfortunately it appears that the iApp templates for Exchange do not offer the option to configure and deploy ASM. There are some other templates that do but not the Exchange templates from what I can see. I checked both the "f5.microsoft_exchange_2010_2013_cas.v1.6.2" and "f5.microsoft_exchange_2016.v1.0.2" templates from the latest set of templates (iapps-1.0.0.550.0) and did not see the option. That being said, you can still deploy the virtual server using the iApp, and then disable "Strict Updates" which will then allow you to apply an ASM policy manually.
