LTM and DNS integration

Hi, I have 2 BIGIP LTM in active-passive DSC and 2 BIGIP DNS in active-passive DSC.

I need to add the 2 LTMs into DNS so that DNS is able to automatically discover virtual servers which are defined in LTM.

From F5 doc, it looks like we can only add LTM with self-IP not floating IP (F5 doc), which means I have to add both active and passive LTM into DNS.Then DNS module is able to see two instances of same virtual server: 1 is from active LTM and the other is from passive LTM. (AS expecation, passive LTM shows "DOWN" in DNS)

The above is ok for us. But when we create wideIP in DNS, it looks like that we need to add both LTM virtual servers into DNS pool. This is a bit of tricky. Have we done anything wrong? or this is the right way. Thanks

GTM will see only one VS independent if it is created in the Active and Standby units. In the servers configurations on GTM, you need to select in product BIG-IP (Redundant), and then you put the selfip non float in the boxes that will appear, the first box is from the Active unit, and the second box is from the standby unit. After that, GTM will find only one VS instead of two.
