How to properly change sshd_config parameters?

Hi there,

 

I would like to ask, whether there is an official process of changing sshd_config parameters. According the file:

 

THIS IS AN AUTO-GENERATED FILE -- DO NOT EDIT!!! I'm not supposed to do so.

 

Anyway, I know what I want to change, I know which parameter I'm interested in and on a regular Linux system I'd do the job in a no time.

 

If I change it via CLI and restart the process, shall I expect the file to be overwritten after system reload?

 

Sorry, I have not much options to test on a non production system at present.
