upgrade F5 bigip 10200 from 12.1.1

Hi,

 

kindly according to the result that I got for the f5 BIG IP 10200 boxes from iHealth, there should be upgrade to a higher version. the current version is 12.1.1 and after investigating found the following released versions from F5; 1-12.1.1.HF2 (hotfix)

 

2-12.1.2 (stability release)

 

any one can tel me what is the difference and which version is most recommended?

    The difference between 12.1.1 and 12.1.2 release i that they are part of different "maintenance releases". With maintenance releases, its going to contain bug fixes for the most part and no new features are going to be added, because you are part of the same branch (12.1.x).     Having said that, we would always recommend being on the latest release in that branch (whether that's 12.x or 13.x) along with running the latest hotfix version. Whether or not your unit is ready to make the jump from 12.x to 13.x is upto you to determine, depending upon what modules you have provisioned, by going through the release notes for those versions.
