SIP calls with identity set to anonymous are getting rejected via F5

I am into a weird issue where all the SIP calls initiated with identity set to Anonymous are getting rejected via LTM. But when bypassing the LB, calls are accepted successfully.

Setup is like: - User initiate a call-----> Call land to PBX server-----> PBX server on behalf of user initiates a call towards LB-VS, behind which there are 3 servers.

When call is initiated towards LB-VIP I can see SIP-Invite and trying message and after that server reject the call with caption BAD Request. Below is the SNIP: -

Any suggestions?

  • Try create a FAST L4 profile, with loose initiation & loose close. Then apply this to fast L4 vs, all protocols on that port.

  • I think we found the cause of the issue, when parameter in PBX "TrunkProfile:Lync_TCP:hideUserWhenRestricted: yes" is set to YES, then calls via F5 are getting dropped, but when we set it to NO, then calls via F5 are going fine. but didn't get why calls with F5 are getting dropped when the calls are accepted without F5 with the same parameter.
