I am trying to get the pool name from the VIP IP which I am getting from a input file, but I am unable to get any cmdlet related to that ``` $secpasswd = ConvertTo-SecureString "" -AsPlainText -Force $MyLTM_IP = "12.16.16.8" $mycreds = New-Object System.Management.Automation.PSCredential "rk", $secpasswd $session = $null #Create an F5 session $session = New-F5Session -LTMName $MyLTM_IP -LTMCredentials $mycreds -PassThru $get_data = Import-Csv -Path "D:\f5\IP_Addition_Input.csv" $VIP_IP = $get_data.VIPIP ``` Please let me know how can I get the pool name. going forward I have a add nodes to that pool. I have an F5 load balancing setup configured with two servers. My MVC web application, which incorporates Kendo UI, Jquery, and bootstrapping, is hosted on an IIS server with an SSL certificate. However, when accessing the application via HTTPS from outside the server, it often or sometimes results in a 'net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET' error, with intermittent failures to load javascript and CSS files to the client browser. Strangely, upon reloading the page, the assets load properly, and the page functions as expected. This issue did not occur when the application was accessed via HTTP, where it worked properly without any issues. What could be the reason behind this problem?104Views0likes2CommentsAccess Page without resetting the session timer
I'm asking this question with the assumption that F5 is storing some kind of session timer, and resetting it each time the user makes an HTTP request. My application will have it's own session timer, set to be shorter than the F5. This is so I can pause their input progress in a friendly way to tell them they need to reauthenticate before F5's session ends and possibly makes them lose progress on their work. Our server will the the authoritative source of the users session time. The front end javascript will callback to an API on the server to resynchronize it's session time with the server. It will do this on an interval. Based on my assumptions, each one of those synchronize requests would cause the F5 session timer to reset. Since this requested is an automated process and not triggered by a user request, that session timer resetting is an undesirable side effect. Long explanation for a short question: How can I make my resynchronize calls to the server without causing the F5 to reset it's session time. Ideally these requests would still have the users EDIPI in the header. Is this possible?47Views0likes2CommentsTelemetry streaming to Elasticsearch
Hi all I am following a couple of threads since I want to send ASM logging to Elasticsearch like this one fromGreg What I understand is that I need to send an AS3 declaration and a TS declaration. But there are a couple of things not entirely clear to me. 1. Can I remove the iRule, Service_TCP, Pool, Log_Destination, Log_Publisher and Traffic_Log_profile declarations from the AS3 declaration json? In the example the telemetry_asm_security_log_profile does not seem to depend on these? 2. In the AS declaration json an IP address is specified 255.255.255.254 (perhaps just an example since it is a subnet mask) and also in the TS declaration where it is 172.16.60.194. How are the IP in the servers section of the AS3 declaration related to the one in the consumer part in the TS declaration? 3. Intelemetry_asm_security_log_profile the field remoteStorage is set to splunk. According to the reference guide:Reference Guide security-log-profile-application-objectthe allowed values are “remote”, “splunk”, “arcsight”, “bigiq”. I would opt for just remote. Is that the correct choice? Regards Hans480Views0likes2CommentsAPM sends local favicon.ico to client instead of fetching it from the backend
This behaviorseems to be since 16.1.2 and 16.1.3 version upgrade. The APM is sending the local version of favicon.ico to the client and not the version of the backend after the session has established. The used access profile is in LTM+APM mode. It seems to be a bug like this here: Bug ID 617675: SWG sends local favicon.ico to client instead of fetching it from the backend server We already tried the provided irule as a workaround but it doesnt work (redirect to somefavicon.ico etc.) Has someone experienced the same problem? Many thanks, Peter1.8KViews0likes6Comments
