Merging ASM Policies - Is Anything Not Merged?

If I run policy diff against two ASM policies, I can see all of the configuration differences between the two and merge them accordingly. Is there anything that can't be merged between the two policies?

For instance, let's say I have one ASM policy that is used for multiple applications (Policy_A) and another that is used for a single application (Policy_B). If I merged everything from Policy_B to Policy_A, is there anything that wouldn't be merged to A from B that I should be concerned about?

Thanks!

  • No. All stuff that is part of policy configuration is merge-able. Just take note that Unenforced learning suggestions which are not yet enforced can't be merged. If anything requires user input in Manual Traffic Learning section, take care of this beforehand.
